Shaking Out the Holiday Cobwebs
After a long cyclocross season and New Years weekend on the trails I suppose this past week officially marked the start of my 2016 road campaign.
Though in fairness I'm going on vacation sans bike in less than a week, so maybe this is more of a warm-up for the start of the season. Either way, I spent this past Saturday attempting to adjust back to skinny tires as a big team crew rolled out across the GWB.
As luck would have it tired legs and schedule constraints meant we shed riders throughout the early stages of the ride - including all of my fellow big men.
Being left with the climbers of the team made for a painful few hours, a portion of which was spent in an unexpected rain shower (awesome) but ultimately we all made it back in one piece. Now to spend a bit of time putting in work and building form - after vacation of course.
