Chris Thater Memorial in Binghamton, New York
With the 2015 road season winding down a few weeks ago the squad headed upstate for a weekend of racing at the Chris Thater Memorial in Binghamton New York as part of the New York State Criterium Championships. As one of the largest races in New York State with the pros putting on a show on Saturday night under the lights it made for a great road trip just a few hours from New York City. After two busy days of criterium racing we walked away from the weekend fairly empty handed on the results side - with Donnie putting up the best results after spending some time in the break in the pro field. But despite the lack of results there were plenty of laughs and lots of trial and error on how to fit six bike racers and one bulldog into a single hotel room. And of course a mix of Bud Light Lime and pizza. Not a bad way to spend a weekend in late August in the countdown to Gateway Cup.
