Winter Escapes Gallery: A Week in the Mojave Desert
Shane and Lucia are in the middle of a little winter desert escape to Las Vegas, Nevada, and St. George, Utah.
Itβs been an incredible week. A full post is coming soon, but until then, enjoy this short photo essay on riding in a world with full sunshine, few trees, and monumental rock formations.
Weekend Forecast: Cheshire Cross 2021
Itβs sort of an off weekend in NYC cyclocross, with not much going on within a reasonable driving distance of the city. The UCI calendar is off in Indiana, and not much is going on in the Philly area. There is, however, a sleeper favorite going on in the middle-ish of Connecticut: Cheshire Cross.
Weekend Forecast: HPCX 2021
HPCX, the best race within an hour of NYC (ex. Rainey Park, duh), is finally upon us!
Weekend Forecast: Charm City CX 2021
Most of the teamβs first big UCI weekend of cross season is finally here, and we couldnβt pick a better race than Charm City CX in Baltimore.
CX Hangover: DCCX and Whirlybird CX 2021
Itβs officially mid-September and the cyclocross cobwebs are officially dusted off. While most everyone I know elected to keep it simple and stick to a single-race weekend at Whirlybird, I took it upon myself to drive unholy distances over two days in order to race both DCCX on Saturday and Whirlybird, outside of Philly, on Sunday.
Weekend Forecast: Whirlybird CX
This weekend is the Pennsylvania CX season opener, Whirlybird CX in Bryn Athen, PA. Itβs a fan favorite of ours that tends to get a critical mass of people out, so no matter the course or the weather it ends up being a good time.
CX Hangover: Hydra Cross 2021
Somehow I convinced Lucia, as well as our friends from KruisCX Diane and Elizabeth, to join me at Hydra Crossβa one-day race in Massachusetts three hours away. We had a nice overnight on Saturday and were able to spend all day Sunday the best way I know how: hanging out in a field with a bunch of friends. Even though I see the people I went to the race with frequently, even during Covid, somehow laying on a blanket with them on the grass just made me feel a special kind of nice. Despite the rain.
