Favorite Event
Green Mountain Stage Race: this race serves as a bench mark for the season. At the end of the season, I can see the progress I've made. As an added bonus the Green Mountains have killer views and great craft brews.
Favorite Ride
The Blue Ridge Parkway - Asheville, NC. I started going to Asheville with my wife in 2012 to visit her family, we weren't married at the time. I didn't own a bike. My father-in-law was big into bikes, and he helped me get my first ride. Trips to Asheville were highlighted by long, slow climbs on the Parkway followed by a relaxing day throwing back some of the best beer in the country. In 2016 I asked my father-in-law for his permission to marry his daughter after a 100+ mile day on the Parkway to the top of Mt. Mitchell (highest point east of Mississippi). We got married in Asheville two years later. The day before the wedding, surrounded by teammates on To Be Determined, family, and friends, we rode the Blue Ridge Parkway. One last ride before the bride.
