Weekend Roll: Steamboat, a visit to our pals at Moots, and a lot of snow
When we decided on Steamboat as our preferred destination for ski weekends, it had nothing to do with our relationship with Moots. But it sure is convenient now! We planned a weekend of skiing, snowshoeing, cooking, and added a visit with our pals at Moots for a very enjoyable weekend indeed. Even the five hour drive back to Denver yesterday couldn’t really damper our spirits…. okay, well, it did a little.
Friday afternoon, after enough skiing for the first day of the season, we headed over to Moots for a visit. It was relatively quiet but we still got to have a chat, see some very cool bikes, and meet some canine employees. What can I say about this? The people are cool, the bikes are cool, and the machines are big.
After a huge storm on Sunday, our legs were dead from trying to remember how to ski powder (I know, you should feel like really bad for us), and we took a walk in the morning to our favorite bakery in town and to watch the little ski town dig out. I had never seen snow up to a stop sign before. Our favorite snaps from all the weekend’s adventures are in the gallery below.
