TBD Group Rides - August

Last month we kicked off a series of planned TBD Community Rides. After getting rained out on our first attempt, we had two great group rides from Central Park to 9W. For August, we’re changing things up with a Brooklyn focused ride this coming Sunday.

We will meet Sunday August 11 at 8AM at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn. The route is our classic “surf check” ride to Rockaway Beach where we’ll stop for coffee at Brothers Rockaway before making the return trip back to Brooklyn. As always, keep an eye on the team Instagram (@tobedetermined.cc) for the latest information including any weather related cancellations.

Group rides are friendly endurance paced but are drop rides. This means we may not be able to wait and regroup for mechanicals or flats. Check out our tips for showing up to group rides! Since the rides will be drop rides, it is recommended you come with your bike in good mechanical shape, you know how to fix flats and take care of yourself.

While our August ride calendar is a bit light due to travel schedules, we’ll have more rides coming this fall. So stay tuned to the Journal for September ride plans.

• August 11 - meet at Grand Army Plaza at the stop sign in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, route is an out-and-back to Rockaway Beach via Bedford Ave, the Jamaica Bay/Plumb Beach bikeway, and the Marine Parkway Bridge.
