TBD x Castelli: Introducing our 2021 Kit
When announcing our new Castelli partnership earlier this year we wrote about just how excited we were for 2020. How we were looking forward leaving “2019 and all of its characters, events, highs and lows behind, to start brand new.” Needless to say, 2020 was far from what we expected.
But with the clock finally ticking down what has been an at times trying year, we are collectively turning our attention toward 2021. Which makes us so very excited to reveal the first product of our partnership with Castelli: the team’s brand new TBD x Castelli team kit.
Designed by our own Daghan Perker the kit represents the next evolution of the colorway that we have worn since 2017. Navy and maroon remain at the design’s core, with the cream outerwear/accessories from our former design replaced with a striking baby blue and subtle details added throughout the various kit pieces. And of course all of the designs have been applied to some of the finest custom products we have ever worn, thanks to our friends at Castelli.
We’ll have much more on this new design and the process we used to create it on the Journal in the coming weeks. But for now we’ll leave you with a few photographs from the team’s first ride in the new kit, as shot by Scott Rettino in Brooklyn on a recent fall morning.
