I was really excited after several weeks of not being around on Tuesday night to finally return to Floyd. Even better, it was Athletic night—our team’s night to sponsor the event and bring out a bunch of our favorite non-alcoholic beer to share with the group (adult version of orange slices at soccer practice, I suppose).

TBD loves Floyd, which is why we eagerly raised our hands to sponsor a night of racing when race promoter and director Tom Mains asked local teams to pitch in to keep the race alive. TBD is sponsoring racing at Floyd Bennett Field this week on Tuesday July 12!

Three years after the last edition, the beloved weeknight series at an abandoned air strip in a far flung part of Brooklyn is finally back!

I love Floyd because of, rather than in spite of, its complete lack of course features—Floyd is as close as a road race comes to a long scratch race on the track. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, Floyd is good.

While this year’s Dash For Cash was cancelled, TBD still carried on at least part of our beloved July 4th tradition.
