Garneau Breeze Wool Jersey Review

Last month, Shane went looking for a long sleeve wool jersey to replace one that had been damaged beyond repair from a fall (RIP beloved Power Wool jersey). She found the Garneau Women's Breeze Long Sleeve Jersey, and immediately reported to the team that it was really nice!

Cue the heart eyes emojis, as the rest of us commented how cute it looked, and that it happened to go perfectly with our CityMD Women's Racing team kits!

As soon as I got mine, I noticed how light and soft the material was. As much as I love wool (for its body temperature moderating & sweat wicking properties), I am very sensitive to itchy material, and this one is not itchy! Unlike many other wool jerseys on the market, the Breeze Jersey is very lightweight and thin, but surprisingly warm, just the same. It is simultaneously very roomy and forgiving, but also retains its shape when you wear it. The V-shaped seams on the chest are very subtly flattering. It has mesh panels on the sides for additional breathability, and gives the jersey a form fitting and slimming shape. There are the traditional 3 back pockets shaped for easy access, which hold a lot, including bigger phones and extra bottles, even in smaller sizes. But, there's also an additional outer pocket in the center back pocket for something that you might want to keep separate, such as a gel or a pair of gloves. I also love the articulated hole for headphone wires to be fed stealthily through the center back pocket and up the inside of the jersey, and the little silicone gripper detailing to keep the jersey from riding up (or down when pockets are fully loaded).

The Breeze Jersey has easily become one of our go-to essential pieces of kit. We've worn it as a layering piece, a standalone jersey, or an outer jacket. I can definitely see myself wearing this piece all year round given its versatility, and of course, because it looks great!
