THTW: Holiday Adventuring

With a brutal chill settling across the East Coast and holiday festivities drawing the team away from the bike it was a pretty quiet stretch as far as 'The Weekend That Was' is concerned. In fact the few highlights from this past weekend are mostly derived from the lucky portion of the team that was enjoying riding in warmer climates.

For example To Be Determined's lead photographer Daghan long ago fled to to the West Coast where he has been on a non-stop photo expedition / family visit with a bit of very fine riding squeezed in:

Charging into the #sunset ------------- I met Tony at the trails today and he was kind enough to take me around his childhood backyard #annadelstatepark He wasn't kind when we were climbing though 😂 At the end of the ride my expression was priceless when I realized that he was actually riding a singlespeed @pivot_cyclesusa 💪💪💪 #cyclingfriends #makingfriends

Similarly VdV spent the holidays in Guatemala where he snuck in a few rides in the shadows of the famous Volcanoes of the region. Stay tuned to the Destinations section of the Journal for a full recap of his trip in the coming weeks:

Meanwhile across the pond former TBD'er Mathew Street was getting in a far different type of training sans bike:

Fell run up Kinder. It was Dave’s idea to run up Kinder this morning at 8am. There’d been a sprinkling of snow over night and strong winds on the top. A lot of places were ankle deep in snow and mud, or water, when we ran up stream beds to the top. Epic at times but a lot of fun. I think it was Dave’s revenge for keeping him in the pub until 2am the other night when he wanted to leave at 10pm. Hehe. #DavesRevenge #BarkJossBark #KinderScout #fellrunning
