Team Sixcycle-RK&O has been honored to partner with Louis Garneau for several seasons. This partnership was borne from Louis Garneau's impressive custom kit program before expanding into nutrition and shoes. For 2014 we're proud to expand this partnership further to include Louis Garneau framesets, which are now available in the US market for the first time. As one of Louis Garneau's US launch partners we'll be riding the Gennix R1, the Company's top of the line frame that has been extensively campaigned by the Garneau-Quebecor Professional Team.

Expect to hear much more about the performance characteristics these race machines as the 2014 race season progresses, but in the interim we wanted to highlight one of the most exciting elements of these bikes: the Louis Garneau Dream Factory custom paint program.

THE LOUIS GARNEAU DREAM FACTORY

While a select few other companies may offer custom bike paint programs, no Company that we're aware of can match Louis Garneau's end-to-end line of custom products - from kit to helmets and now framesets.

Adding framesets to Louis Garneau's custom capabilities required a significant infrastructure investment and with it in place Louis Garneau is now offering five (soon to be seven) framesets with a total of 96,000 different paint options.

It's an impressive program that has already churned out a series of beautiful bikes, some of which are visible on the Louis Garneau Facebook page.

CUSTOM PAINT IN THE DIGITAL ERA

The starting point for these Dream Factory creations is the Louis Garneau Dream Factory website. From there riders can select the frame of their choice - including a wide array of road frames at various price points.

Once a frame is selected, paint is available in three tiers of customization, ranging in price from $275 to $500. At the $275 level customization includes the choice of 20 base colors while at the $500 level riders can select base, accent and graphic colors (from the same 20 color palette) in addition to selecting from various finish options such as glossy and matte finishes.

Once a level of customization is selected the fun really begins, with the rider exploring the vast range of color options available as part of the dream factory - everything from metallic silver to a retina burning neon green.

Once paint and graphic colors are selected riders select the finish (glossy/matte) and can choose to have their names and a country flag added to to the frame.

MATCHING AERO HELMET AND ORDER SUBMISSION

Once a final paint job is selected, riders can choose to have a matching Louis Garneau Course Aero helmet added to the order.

As the helmet that proves that aero doesn't have to be ugly, this is a great opportunity to take full advantage of Louis Garneau's custom manufacturing capabilities so that the same color combination from your frameset makes it's way to your helmet.

With all of Louis Garneau's 96,000 color combinations explored and the optional custom Louis Garneau Course helmet added on, the order can be submitted to one of Louis Garneau's US dealers.

THE CRAFTSMEN MAKE YOUR DREAM A REALITY

Once the order is submitted to Louis Garneau, the craftsmen from the Dream Factory go to work on making your dreams a reality. It's an impressive multistage process designed to execute your vision.

Team Sixcycle-RK&O's Gennix R1 frames are currently at this stage in the process - but they'll be coming to races across the Northeast in a matter of weeks.
