As we immerse ourselves in deep winter, there’s like no better time to reflect on 90-degree bikepacking days and the scalding sun of the Southwestern United States. Vermont has an entirely different style of gravel racing than the rest of the USA, the name of the game is shorter miles, higher elevation, and gnarlier terrain. The Vermont Overland is no exception, 59 miles, 7,500 ft of climbing, and 8 class 4 sectors (a road that is not maintained by the town or state and can be in various states of disrepair).
